Eastern is proud of its 30,000 living alumni, some of whom went to Eastern when it was still the Willimantic State Teachers College more than 60 years ago. Throughout its name changes, new buildings and student population growth, Eastern has remained a family of learners connected by shared values and a common educational experience. Eastern continues to maintain close connections with its alumni through social events, professional networking and alumni services. At the same time, Eastern alumni support current students through scholarship funds, internship placements and other assistance.
Established in 2009, the Eastern Fellows program recognizes alumni who have achieved professional success. Alumni from the sciences, business, academics and other professions have been honored.
