At Eastern, classroom learning is critical to exploring the theory behind a given discipline, while having the opportunity to test your own ideas in class discussions. We also know there is nothing like practical experience to teach you real-life applications of the knowledge gained in class. That’s why hundreds of Eastern students take internships each year.

  • For Credit (many majors require an internship for graduation)
  • For Pay
  • On Campus (from sustainable energy to business information systems)
  • Off Campus (in government, business, nonprofit and education sectors)

In addition to internships available through academic departments, the Center for Internships and Career Development (CICD) supports internship placements, and also offers other career development services, including:

  • Career advising/coaching
  • Declaring a major
  • Job search strategies (resumes, interviewing)
  • Preparing for graduate school
  • Much more!
